Oh, the big “I Do”. You must have thought of this ever since you saw a wedding for the first time, or when you listened to your first fairy tale. And now it’s finally happening for you too! Your very own marvelous love story brought to life!

Sure, being excited (and nervous) about the upcoming wedding ceremony is more than natural. However, make sure that you are aware of the wedding ceremony do’s and don’ts that will help you with the wedding planning. Here are some of the most important ones:

Do’s

•Talk to your ceremony officiant in advance. Get to know him/her and make sure that you are on the same page when it comes to how everything should happen at the big ceremony.
•Plan your time well. Most likely, you will only have access to your ceremony site for a limited time. Make sure you are not late and that your guests don’t have to wait on you! Plan every part of the pre-wedding in advance and make sure you are realistic about it.
•Offer comfy seating. You want your guests to feel really great at your wedding. Thus, the seating you offer them at the ceremony should be comfortable.

Don’ts

•Don’t pick a ceremony site that’s far from the reception venue. You don’t want to waste your time (and that of your guests) on travelling too much between the ceremony and the reception!
•Don’t forget to focus on the aisle and on the altar décor. Although you may be tempted to invest more in the entrance, most people will pay the most attention to the aisle and décor – so you may want to focus on those first and foremost.
•Don’t leave your outdoor ceremony into the hands of Mother Nature. Create a backup plan in case it rains and you everything will flow smoothly (not to mention the fact that you will not be as stressed out at the thought that it may rain on your wedding day).
