It takes two to make a wedding – and this means that grooms should have their own say in how the wedding planning process goes as well. However, most of the tasks frequently fall on the bride’s to-do list and things can get quite nasty once the pressure becomes too much to handle.
How can you make sure you are doing your job right as the groom? We have gathered some really important tips you should absolutely keep in mind when planning the Big Day – so read on and find out more:
Speak up. Really, if you don’t speak up and if you don’t give your opinions, she will most likely think you don’t even care about how the wedding turns out – which is obviously not true. Whenever she asks you about something, give your honest opinion and learn to talk things over and make compromises when you don’t agree 100% with her ideas.
Speak up – but not too late. Be there from the very beginning and until the end of the wedding planning. Starting to spell out your ideas after she has already asked you for your opinion a hundred times and when she’s already 75% into planning the wedding will not lead to anything good. In fact, there’s a good chance she will get upset that you are ruining everything now, when she has already put a lot of effort into planning the Big Day.
The best thing to do is to sit down with your future bride and talk about each other’s tasks – and do that before you even begin the wedding planning. This is an important day for both of you, so both of you will want to make sure it turns out perfectly. Communicate, split your tasks and always be there for one another!
