Baton Rouge, the capital of Louisiana, is home to Louisiana State University (LSU) and Southern University (SU), making it not only home to the state’s politics, but gives it a great college town feel.

Weekends in Baton Rouge are typically crowded with fans coming in for a tailgate. Death Valley and tailgating at LSU is widely regarded as one of the best college football experiences in the nation, where alligator, whole hogs, and lots of boudin are grilled, cooked, and perfected. The Fleur de Lis Event Center agrees with that sentiment which is why we included alligator sausage as one of our passed hors d’oeurves! Chad, the owner of the Fleur de Lis, graduated from LSU and has 2 children attending. We know what it’s like to bleed purple and gold! (By the way, purple looks great in our ballrooms!)
