Are You Planning on Including the Following in Your Wedding Day?
Let us know beside each item listed & include any special information on each.Specialty linens will be used on guest book table, gift table, and cake table.
All boxes need to be clearly labeled with bride’s name & wedding date!
Reserved Seating
Please note: We have a limit of 4 reserved tables. Our reserved tables are for the “honored” guests who will be taking pictures and will need a seat. We do not recommend reserving tables for the bridal party.
Reception Schedule
The following schedule will give you an idea of the standard format we follow. This schedule can be customized upon request; please add any requested changes at the end of this section.
Pictures:
Photographs will be taken immediately following the ceremony. Depending on the photographer, it should take approximately 20-25 minutes. Please discuss this time frame with your photographer beforehand.
Bride & Groom Dining:
After pictures are taken, the rest of the bridal party will join the reception while we steal you away so you can enjoy dinner on the balcony, as well as a few moments alone. We offer complete privacy so that our couples can actually eat at their wedding!
Formal Announcement:
Before entering the reception, we will formally announce you as Mr.& Mrs. to your guests!
Special dances:
This includes your first dance as a married couple, followed by your Father & Daughter, Mother & Son, Bridal Party Dances, and any others you might wish to do at this time.
Mingle Time:
The next 30 minutes will be a break for you to enjoy your guests, the music, and each other.
Money Dance:
Next, the DJ will announce the start of the money dance. This is a tradition in which the guests pay to have a dance with the Bride and Groom.
Cake cutting and Pictures:
Directly following the money dance will be the traditional cake pulls, toasting, cutting the cake, and of course, pictures! After your pictures with the cake, we will take the cake to the kitchen to be cut and served to your guests.
Bouquet and Garter Toss:
While we still have your guests' attention and before they enjoy the cake, we honor the tradition of tossing the bouquet and garter.
Party Time:
After all the logistics above are done, you will be free for the remainder of the night to enjoy the dance floor and the guests.
It seems like a lot, and it is, so we try to follow this schedule to ensure you don't miss any of these once-in-a-lifetime memories. We try to give you as much space as possible because we want you to enjoy your party. Please let us know if you want to adjust the format in any way. All these traditions can be adjusted, removed, etc. We want to bring all the little details you've dreamed about to life!
We recommend that any speeches or toasts be performed at the rehearsal dinner; however, if you would like someone to give a speech during the reception please keep them brief and the number of persons speaking to a minimum; this is to ensure your guests are engaged in the speech/toast as well as to not infringe on your valuable party time.(who will be giving the speech and when during the rehearsal the speech will be performed)
If so please enter into the box below, if none indicate “no changes.”
Fleur de Lis DJ Services
At the Fleur de Lis Event Center, we have a distinct way in which we DJ. To ensure that both our bride and her guests capture the full wedding experience, we format our music in a three-part way, explained below. As with all our services, this can be altered with your input.
Warm-up
As guests arrive, the melody of an upbeat variety of music from your selections below will fill the air while guests make their way through our immaculate venue and explore our all-encompassing buffet accompanied by hand passed hors d'oeuvres.
Traditions
After the newlyweds arrive and share their first dance together, along with any additional selected dances, we will play “modern” upbeat songs, followed by line dances, slow ballads, and timeless wedding classics.
Party Time
It's time to get this party started, as our DJ livens up the dance floor with some of today's top dance hits. We have found that certain ages may not particularly appreciate this genre of music. In consideration of this, we prefer to hold tracks such as these until after the cake has been cut.
Below we would like you to include some songs you absolutely hate & the ones you totally love; we will also ask you to let us know which music genres you like and which you don’t care so much about. We know while all groups are similar in a few ways, they are different in far more ways. This will help us understand the type of songs your group may like. But, if picking songs overwhelms you, just let us handle it. This is not our first rodeo! Honestly, nothing makes our DJs happier than for you to say, "just make them dance." So please don’t stress over this list!
In addition to that, have each of your wedding party submit two songs they like. Remember, the energy of the wedding comes from your closest friends, so get them involved!
Last, it's always good to provide us with any songs you just can't image being played. Let's face it: the chicken dance works for some but not all! As a disclaimer, we suggest that you not attempt to pick every song. It's important for us to have the latitude to adjust when things aren't working very well.Genres:
or just really don’t want played
Special Songs
Please provide detailed information on special songs along with Artist and certain versions of the songs to make sure we have the correct version because many songs are recorded by many different groups, etc.
Also, provide any special information concerning announcements done before special dances
(For example if parents have passed away, any step-parents to be noted, etc.) If you need help picking songs we are always available to help.
Send-Off Information
We have some limitations, but we will work with you as much as possible. Some ideas are bubbles, shaker wands, bells, or just people saying congratulations. Please remember that you will need to provide any necessary materials for your send-off.
This person will be notified during the event when guest count seems like it will go over contracted number. They will give us your decision on whether to allow extra guests (max being 50 extra on day of event) and make payment in cash for any overage's or have the doors closed when the count reaches the agreed number. If the number goes over without time for notification, the credit card will be charged for overage's. In the event that the credit card cannot be charged for whatever reason, a check or cash will need to be provided immediately for the event to continue. I hope this does not offend you in any way, but the only way we can provide the service you and your guests deserve is to be prepared for them. We look forward to hosting your momentous celebration.
