Our world has changed, but we are in this together and will get past it.  Below is the current news.
“The CDC recommended organizers cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States. The recommendation does not apply to some organizations like schools or businesses.”
“Gov. John Bel Edwards’ office announced the news Monday afternoon. The move bans gatherings of more than 50 people, closes casinos, bars and movie theatres and limits restaurants to delivery, take-out and drive-through only. The changes are effected at midnight and maybe lifted April 13.”
I frankly am not sure if Fleur de Lis Event Center is required to follow this.  But either way I have decided is to shut down for all events until the end of the month then reevaluate on a week by week basis.
Fleur de Lis is very blessed while this will hurt us all, we will get past it.  Due to the overall capacity of Fleur de Lis Event Center to host events coupled with us heading into our slow season, those needing to postpone will have many options.
We will be offering anyone with events booked before May 31st the option to “Move and Keep” which means you can secure a new date until the end of September while keeping your original date in case things improve.
Postponing your event is simple, email me your top 3 options and I will do my best to accommodate.  Once the date is chosen, we only require an email like below.
“I am requesting to “move and keep” our wedding date of 4/18/20 while moving to 7/11/20 in the event we cannot have our wedding as currently planned due to the coronavirus.”
If you feel better just to reschedule, we can do that as well.
